French Fish

I was working on the site this morning and adding words to the French Fish section and realized that fish names are things that have escaped me when i’ve eaten at a French restaurant.  At times, because I love fish so much, I would just say, “well it can’t kill me” and just order the fish of the day.  Then once the fish came, I’d think OH that’s cod or that’s red snapper.   Once in a restaurant near Bordeaux, I had an amazing fish dish with mussels and lots of cream and realized it was sea bass.  So to avoid issues with which fish is it in France, I’ve added a list of the most popular types of fish you’re likely to find in France.  If you have found others, and want me to post them, just write me!   Bon appetit!
