Fruit Loops? NO! Froot Loops

I love cereal, never have been a fan of the sugary kind, but I love the names.  Captain Crunch, Sugar Pops and my all time favorite Froot Loops!  And yet, I have to admit, I never noticed the spelling of Fruit/Froot!   I always thought it was Fruit but it’s Froot, Obviously to match the OO in Loop!  Clever 🙂

froot loopsProduct names fascinate me.  Not only are the names funny, intriguing and clever, but I wonder about the process companies go through to find the names.  Also I could write a book on how product names end up in our daily speech as metaphors for other things – fascinating!  So today find a funny product name and giggle – be a Fruit Loop!!! 🙂
